Chapter 1: Shadow in the Desert

The sands of Nehekhara move with each gust of the wind. And when the wind comes, it blows like a giant bird flapping its wings. The desert is vast and seems to last forever. The sun beats down on the dunes so hot that many think the sand could become glass at any moment.Only fools and greedy treasure seekers venture here. But today is different.
He walks through the sand with ease. His face and body covered with a thin green cloth. A home made hooded cloak that hides all but his eyes. They are as blue as the sky. Under the cloak, he wears light armor of leather and steel. A Long Sword, the emblem of the Empire is etched onto the hilt. On his back is a short Elven blade, curved with the language of the Elves etched onto the silver blade. It is held in a sheath made from the same green cloth as his cloak.
Sean Greymore Hiruki was his name. He was headed for the City of Numas. Days before he had left the Jungle. 'The Cursed Jungle' most Men called it. Sean on the other hand called it "A pretty nice place". He had met with the Slann Mage-Priest who ruled over the Lizard-men and their Jungles. Lizard-Men are the Guardians of this World, so it was very easy to ally them with the Armies of Man,Elf and Dwarves. Now it was time for him to meet with the Undead Kings of Nehekhara.
Sean smiled under his cloak's mask. Numas was a beautiful sight to behold. Save for some decay, the city was full of gold gleemed in the afternoon sun. Sean noticed two Guards at the front gate. They were nothing but bones, literally.
They crossed spears infront of the gate as Sean drew closer.
"Show you face and state your buisness." On
e said with a cold, raspy voice.
Sean only chuckled. He did as he was told and removed his mask and hood.
His dark blonde hair was short, it only road down half his neck, and it was slicked back. A was a very handsome man.
He smiled at one of the guards.
"You know,Tenzi, you could be a little nicer. Keep that up and you'll scare visiters away. If your face dosn't do so first."
The guard,Tenzi, laughed.
"Only following orders, old friend!" Tenzi spoke fluent English, though the accent of his native tounge was still very apparent.
"Yeah, well you know not too many people visit unless they have been here before." Sean chuckled.
Tenzi removed his spear and ordered the other guard to do the same,in the language of Nehekhara.
The gates slowly rummbled open and Sean stepped inside.
The two friends baid farewell to each other and Sean walked towards the Palace.
Sean waved at old friends, both Living and Undead, as they passed. He bowed at each Statue-like Ushabti that he passed untill he came to the Palace.
The Palace of Numas, home to Prince Tutankhanut and his most trusted men.
Sean bowed to the Royal guards as he walked in. The Palace was giganic. Gold and other precious stones filled the halls. Even though it has stood for who knows how long, there was almost no decay and save for a Cobweb or two, it was very clean.
Sean bent onto one knee after he entered the Main Hall. Before him stood a man of Gold.
The Golden Prince-King of Numas, Tutankhanut.
Tutankhanut raised his arms and laughed
"My friend! Good to see you, once again! What brings you to my city?"
"Bad news, I'm afraid." Sean answered solumly.
The Prince sighed "What a shame...Come! We must talk." He turned and walked into the Dining room and sat at the end of the long table. Sean stood and followed, he sat to the left of the Prince.
"The Hordes of Chaos are growing vast and unchecked." Sean sighed as soon as he took his seat.
Tutankhanut just scoft "What else is new? The Chaos always grow and devour all whom stand against them and their evil demons."
Sean nodded "Yes, but not to this extent. Even the combined Armies of Man,Elf and Dwarf cannot stop them. That is why I am here,My Lord."
Tutankhanut smiled under his golden Death-Mask and rested his elbow on the table.
"So you have come to enlist my aid? Of course you knew I would say yes. You need help with something else, yes?"
Sean nodded again "King Settra...I'm not sure what he well say. But if you are there, he is sure to help!"
The Golden Prince nodded "Yes. Let us go to King Settra."

Tlaxec of Axlotl scratched his head in annoyance. The Lizard-Man Saurus glared at the Undead guard infront of the giant gates of Khemri, Capitol City of Nehekhara.
Why can't this bag of bones speak English?
Tlaxec sighed again. Now, Tlaxec was unique for a Saurus Warrior. He was Smart, No he was Brilliant. He spoke perfect English and knew how to get out of any tight spot. Though he was also a True Warrior. He carried his hand-made Sword which was edged with Shark Teeth and his extreamly strong wooden shield. Though, out of all of his skills and talents, he wasn't Bilingual. So, needless to say he was beyond annoyed.
"I said, I need to speak with you King about an Enemy!" Tlaxec said once more.
"He can't understand you,Tlaxec." sighed his High Elf companion.
Tlaxec turned his glare to her, "Like you could do any better, Ryoko"
